I think it was a good signing. Nuevirth, I'm referring to.

Very happy with this move by Hextall.

I am fine with both years and dollar amount.

All that's left is figuring out what to do with Vinny, sign MDZ, and possibly move another dman?

It's so awesome to finally have a GM who's moves (or non-moves) are sound.

Hopefully Ron Hextall can build the team into a cup contender like Paul Holmgren did.

If I recall, the Flyers can't do anything with Vinny until tomorrow comes, and his $2 million bonus is paid?

I might be wrong about that. lol

The Flyers can deal him at anytime, including before his bonus is paid.

I like J.Williams but I don't see why the Flyers would sign him.

I see on the home page that Ek is talking about the Flyers being in the mix. I would much rather the Flyers keep salary cap space available for some key guys they will need to resign next year.

UNLESS JW is a one year only signing I would prefer the Flyers pass.

There's some quality talent to build around for the future for Hextall, left from Holmgren.

I would be surprised at that kind of signing.

I think Ek adds the Flyers logo to a lot of rumors, just to piss off those who call this site Flyers Buzz.

He plays the right side, correct? I could see maybe a one year deal, for some veteran leadership, but not a long term deal. I don't know if Williams would be interested in that.

I'm very happy that the Flyers didnt get Kessel. It'll be fascinating to see how this plays out in Pittsburgh. They're loaded at the top of their roster and barren towards the bottom. We should see a lot of high scoring games in Pittsburgh this year.

It's tomorrow his bonus gers paid?

I wonder what his buy-out looks like after paying the bonus if we were to do so during the second window in August?

In my opinion not really. The Lecavalier issue will be taken care of at some point. The only real issue was the failure to draft and develop young defenseman, in my view. That's a big hole on the current team.

I don't know, but that bonus money would count on the cap.

Good move. Having a good, reliable backup allows Mase to get a little more well needed rest during the season. Neuvirth is a very quality netminder. It will be great to have legitimate chance at winning the game with the backup in net for once! Good Job Hexy.

You don't have a problem with those expensive contracts Homer handed out like candy?

Just because the Vinny situation can be figured out at some point doesn't mean that Holmgren didn't leave Hextall that problem.
